The Bretons Visit Rhuthun 16th - 20th May 2016
25 people from the Briec region of Brittany came to stay in homes in the Rhuthun area from Monday 16th May until Friday 20th as part of the annual exchange organized by the Twinning Committees of the two regions.
Monday 16 May
Picnic lunch at Llangollen

Tuesday 17 May
Visit to Ifor Williams Trailers, Corwen with a light lunch.
Trip on Bala Lake Railway to Llanuwchllyn
Evening meal with hosts.
An informal evening in The Feathers Inn.
Wednesday 18 May
10.00am Guided walk around Rhuthun with Heather Williams
Lunch with hosts. From 2.00 - 4.00 pm an afternoon of bowling and other games at Llanfwrog Centre.
Evening meal at The Clwyd Gate, Llanbedr
Thursday 19 May
Guided walk around the town including a visit to Nantclwyd y Dre and the Rhuthun Livestock Market.
Lunch With hosts
We enjoyed an evening of entertainment in Canolfan Awelon with Côr Rhuthun presenting a special programme under the leadership of Robat Arwyn with Mair Jones accompanying. Soloists were Kate Griffiths, Derwen and Alain Kerouedan, Briec. Jan Wilson Jones introduced the choir's items in three languages: French, Welsh and English. Light Breton food was prepared for the choir and audience by our Breton guests. At the end of the evening everyone joined in singing popular Welsh and French songs and a good times was had by all.
